Political machines: a framework for studying politics in social machines

چکیده
Abstract In the age of ubiquitous computing and artificially intelligent applications, social machines serves as a powerful framework for understanding interpreting interactions in socio-algorithmic ecosystems. Although researchers have largely used it to analyze individuals algorithms, limited attempts been made investigate politics machines. this study, I claim that are per se political machines, introduce five-point classifying influence processes By drawing from scholars theory, use notion functions meta-concept connecting comparing different conceptions politics. way, can associate multiple aspects cybernetic perspective. show efficiently categorizes dimensions shape between algorithms. A Near Optimal Approach in Choosing The Appropriate Physical Machines for Live Virtual Machines Migration in Cloud Computing
Migration of Virtual Machine (VM) is a critical challenge in cloud computing. The process to move VMs or applications from one Physical Machine (PM) to another is known as VM migration. In VM migration several issues should be considered. One of the major issues in VM migration problem is selecting an appropriate PM as a destination for a migrating VM. To face this issue, several approaches are...
متن کاملJKernelMachines: A Simple Framework for Kernel Machines
JKernelMachines is a Java library for learning with kernels. It is primarily designed to deal with custom kernels that are not easily found in standard libraries, such as kernels on structured data. These types of kernels are often used in computer vision or bioinformatics applications. We provide several kernels leading to state of the art classification performances in computer vision, as wel...
متن کاملA Comparative Study of Extreme Learning Machines and Support Vector Machines in Prediction of Sediment Transport in Open Channels
The limiting velocity in open channels to prevent long-term sedimentation is predicted in this paper using a powerful soft computing technique known as Extreme Learning Machines (ELM). The ELM is a single Layer Feed-forward Neural Network (SLFNN) with a high level of training speed. The dimensionless parameter of limiting velocity which is known as the densimetric Froude number (Fr) is predicte...
متن کاملOn Wayfaring in Social Machines
In this paper, we concern ourselves with the ways in which humans inhabit social machines: the structures and techniques which allow the enmeshing of multiple life traces within the flow of online interaction. In particular, we explore the distinction between transport and journeying, between networks and meshworks, and the different attitudes and modes of being appropriate to each. By doing th...
متن کاملA Threshold Accepting Algorithm for Partitioning Machines in a Tandem Automated Guided Vehicle
Abstract : A tandem automated guided vehicle (AGV) system deals with grouping workstations into some non-overlapping zones , and assigning exactly one AGV to each zone. This paper presents a new non-linear integer mathematical model to group n machines into N loops that minimizes both inter and intra-loop flows simultaneously. Due to computational difficulties of exact methods in solving our pr...
